Alpine is fortunate to have one of Utah's leading Golf Instructors, Mr. Rob Stanger.   Rob has a love of golf and helping golfers of all levels.  He has helped to develop some of Utah's best junior players.  In addition to Rob, Head PGA Professional Kent B. Easton, Assistant PGA Professional Steve N. Wathen and Assistant Golf Professional Brock Padilla offer competent and effective instruction. We can always find the time to assist you with your game.

Rob Stanger Bio:

Rob has been an independent contractor with Alpine CC since May of 2008. Originally growing up on the fairways of Riverside CC in Provo, Rob moved to Southern California and went on to play professional golf tournaments in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the United States. After his playing career, he was hired as Head Teaching Professional of The Golf Academy at Mission Hills CC in Rancho Mirage California. It was there that he ran the golf instruction for 12 years. He developed many professional relationships with LPGA and PGA Tour players. Since 2003, he has coached extensively on the LPGA Tour catering mostly to Korean players. From 2005-08, he was recognized as a GOLF Magazine Top Teacher West Region. Rob's passion for the game is evident with the involvement that he has in training and coaching Alpine's Junior golfers.

Steve N. Wathen
Assistant PGA Professional Bio:

Steve was a member of the Weber State University golf team that won four Big Sky Conference Championships and participated in the NCAA Championships.  He started his career as an assistant professional at Ogden City's El Monte Golf Course where he earned his PGA membership.  He worked for Ogden City for 27 years where he spent the last 18 years serving as Director of Golf and Head PGA Professional at Mount Ogden G.C.  Steve then went on to work as Golf Professional/Manager for South Jordan City's Mulligan Golf and Games.  After working for Mulligan's for six years and with a desire to teach more, Steve moved to Uinta Golf in Sandy.  At Uinta, Steve developed a large lesson clientele and honed his skills in club fitting and merchandising.  Steve has served as an officer in the Utah Section PGA and was the Section President in 1995-1996.  He has been recognized by his peers with several Section awards including the 1992 Utah PGA "Professional of the Year" and the 1995 "Junior Golf Leader" awards. 

Brock Padilla
Assistant Professional Bio:

Brock comes to Alpine with over 15 years experience in the golf industry, all of which was with the Salt Lake City Golf Division at Winpointe G.C. and Nibley G.C.  He was a former member of the University of Utah golf team and former UJGA "Player of the Year".  Brock has notable competitive experience including a semi-finalist in the Utah State Amateur, playing in the United State Amateur Championship and Nationwide Tour events.  He has over ten years of golf instruction experience and was a part of Salt Lake City's player development programs at Nibley Park where he enjoyed working with men, women and children of all playing abilities.
